We champion all creators and work toward creating a more just, inclusive and equal world.

IZEA’s core values include love, courage and citizenship. We believe that means speaking up against injustices, ensuring equal pay and representation in our marketing campaigns and doing our part to be inclusive in everything we do.

We encourage marketers to launch more diverse and inclusive campaigns by educating marketers, our staff and the public about communities that are often overlooked and marginalized. We regularly publish content spotlighting creators in all niches, backgrounds and experiences.

IZEA Marketplace and Diversity

Part of our commitment to diversity is reflected in our transparency through IZEA Marketplace data. We’ve published The State of Influencer Equality® report every year since 2020 to keep ourselves and our customers accountable and aware of trends in the influencer ecosystem. We aim to push the greater influencer marketing industry toward equal pay and representation.

Our State of Influencer Earnings™ report helps push toward reasonable pay for creators working on various platforms, helps creators understand the value they provide to brands and shows creators how to price themselves to remain competitive.

We are proud of our parity in equal pay and celebrate our customers’ commitment to diverse influencer marketing campaigns. At the same time, we recognize that our IZEA Marketplace data is likely not representative of the industry at large and hope that influencer marketing professionals use this data to help lessen pay gaps by actively hiring creators of all genders, abilities, sexual orientations, ages, ethnicities and race.

Equity in IZEA’s Parental Paid Leave Policy

IZEA promotes inclusion and gender equality in the workplace, including through employee benefits. We celebrate and support all families, which is why full-time, U.S.-based IZEAns can take up to 16 weeks of paid flexible parental leave to welcome a new child into their family — whether by birth, adoption, fostering or surrogacy.

This parental leave gives all parents, regardless of gender, the flexibility to take time off with their newest family members during an important time in their lives.

The more we come together as one, the easier it is to market a good cause.”

Carley is a 22-year-old musician and LGBTQ+ influencer living in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She shares music, motivational, travel and lifestyle content with her 21.5K Instagram followers. She also performs at venues like the Up Next Festival. She works with brands to promote lifestyle products that align with her interests.

“I believe there’s much more diversity and inclusivity from brands and companies highlighting more of us, but I just think it can always be better. I want to see representation all year round and the pride flags to not come down once July 1 hits.”

“I think when brands are creating campaigns they need to have a wider lens on campaigns and make sure that if they want to have LGBTQ+ representation that they have more than one and are hitting as many spaces as possible (i.e. BIPOC, transgender, disabled, or indigenous communities).”

“How they share us and represent us is important. They should really listen to the stories we are telling versus just trying to fit specific questions on what they think needs to be said for that specific representation.”

Owin Pierson is a 30-year-old LA resident and Asian American-Pacific Islander, LGBTQ+ and mental health influencer. He uses his Instagram platform to inspire his 221K followers to be the author of their own story. He’s worked with leading brands like Netflix, Panda Express and Tylenol to share posts that focus on lifestyle topics, Asian American cultures, and issues the LGBTQ+ community faces. He first started his Instagram as a photographer before transitioning to sharing his experiences with his followers.

Terrell and Jarius are content creators and same-sex parents raising two children, Ashton and Aria. Their content is all about normalizing LGBTQ+ parenting and redefining what marriage and family look like. They accomplish this with family vlogs, relationship advice, Q&As and other lifestyle videos.
