DIVERSITY + INCLUSION

Black Influencers
& Creators

We stand united with you against systemic racism, the oppression of people of color, and toward creating a more just, inclusive, and equal world.

We will not be silent. We can do better than we have done to be a force of good for our fellow human beings.

As part of our commitment to making the change we want to see, we encourage marketers to launch more inclusive campaigns. This means educating not only marketers but also our staff about communities who are often overlooked and marginalized.

IZEAx Marketplace and Diversity

IZEA’s commitment to diversity in influencer marketing includes publishing the IZEAx marketplace data. We began publishing this data publicly in January of this year with the 2020 State of Influencer Equality. With this move, we hope to keep ourselves and our customers aware of payment trends and focused on the numbers. We also share this data with the public to help everyone in the influencer marketing industry push for equal pay and equal representation.

We are proud of the parity we have been able to achieve in equal pay, and celebrate our customers’ commitment to diverse influencer marketing campaigns. At the same time, we recognize that our IZEAx marketplace data is likely not representative of the industry at large, and hope that influencer marketing professionals use this data to help lessen pay gaps by actively hiring creators of all genders, creeds, ethnicities, and race.

“To be an influencer of color, especially in the current climate, is an honor. I’m grateful to be able to be an influence to other millennial moms of color, and to be an avenue for empowerment and sisterhood amongst black women, showing them that there is space for them in the blogging arena.”

College graduate and corporate America dropout Kermilia White is the millennial mama behind The Millennial Stay-At-Home Mom blog. When she isn’t blogging, she enjoys singing, practicing her bass guitar, and escaping to eat snacks in the bathroom.

“Being an influencer of color, much like being an LGBTQ+ creator, means using our platform to amplify the voices of our community by educating the world on our struggles but also our uniqueness. It means standing up for those who may not have the courage to stand up for themselves.”

We are same-sex parents raising two ADORABLE children named Ashton & Aria. Our content is all about normalizing LGBTQ+ Parenting and redefining what marriage and family looks like. We know how important representation and visibility is; especially for younger people. So we are here to do our part.
