TikTok is expected to release a photo-sharing app, called TikTok Notes. It’s a new cross-sharing platform that will allow brands and influencers to post photo content, like Instagram. While the app has not yet launched, there is a teaser website that TikTok has released to excite users and brands. The site gives an inside look into what the content might look like, and it’s clear the platform is meant to compete with Instagram. 

TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms, consistently showing exponential growth.TikTok Notes could see similar traffic. 

Many users have seen a prompt showing that their photo posts will be shown on TikTok Notes, unless they change their user settings. Additionally, influencers on TikTok are creating posts to give users insights into TikTok Notes.

Tyler Morgan is a tech creator on TikTok with more than 1.3 million followers who has also shared his opinions on the new app. He believes TikTok Notes may be more beneficial for brands rather than creators.

According to Modern Retail, TikTok has shared that carousel posts help brands get “2.9x more comments, 1.9x more likes, and 2.6x more shares on average,” highlighting the positive response for photo content. Some benefits for brands could be:
