What originally attracted you to the IZEA/SocialSpark community and how did you find out about it?

I saw other successful bloggers working with SocialSpark so I knew I wanted to be part of a community that shared great brands and wonderful opportunities for bloggers!

Describe your blog in 140 characters or less…

Shaken Together is full of easy recipes, seasonal projects and gifts, DIY tutorials, crafty goodness and a little of our family life with two boys, two cats, and 13 years of marriage.

What inspires you to blog?

I have a long-time passion for writing, a love of teaching and a creative streak a mile wide, so once I discovered blogging, it was a natural fit for me!

Do you ever get stumped for what to write? How do you overcome this?

Well, if you knew me in real life, you would know I rarely run out of things to say. BUT, occasionally, when a post isn’t coming together naturally, I’ll step away and come back to it later. Most of the time, a little break and a fresh perspective will jump start the creativity again!

If you were President for a day what would be your first order of business?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one. Since I’ve only got one day in the White House, I think I would just soak it all in and spend time just appreciating the experience!

What do you love about IZEA/SocialSpark?

Great campaigns, awesome brands/partners and a supportive network of bloggers and campaign managers!

What has been your favorite SocialSpark campaign?

I LOVE the Fresh from Florida campaigns that I am working on that showcases amazing ingredients from our Sunshine State!

How do you actively stay engaged with your audience?

Social media is a great way to communicate with my readers and I am a huge Facebook, Google + and Pinterest junkie!!

What tips can you give other bloggers that can help set them apart and stand out?

Everyone has a unique and individual voice. Staying true to that voice and point of view is probably the single most important way to stand out in the crowd!

Complete this thought: If I could, I would...

… quit my ‘regular’ FT job to spend more time with my family, blog full time and start a creative business!
