Move over, fashion influencers and video game vloggers. The influencer sphere has officially gone to the dogs (and cats, and hedgehogs, and even, in some cases, raccoons). That’s right, some of today’s most popular influencers are pets. Pets are so popular on social media that they often outperform humans, according to “The New York Times.” So who are the top pet influencers, what do they have to say for themselves, and who do they work with?

If the internet belongs to cats (and they insist that it does), then Grumpy Cat is the president, empress and queen of the web. The most ubiquitous feline of all the top pet influencers rose to fame because of her underbite and petite size, which make her look, well, grumpy.

Loki the Wolfdog

Loki is a husky/arctic wolf mix known for his sense of adventure and his travels with his owner/dad Kelly. As one of the top pet influencers, Loki’s had the chance to headline some pretty big campaigns, including working with Mercedes-Benz and REI.

Nala Cat

Nala Cat didn’t set out to find fame — fame found her. Her owner created an Instagram profile for Nala (who’s now seven) back in 2012, and the rest is history. The top pet influencer has more than 3.5 million followers and regularly makes appearances at cat festivals.


Boo is seriously the cutest dog ever. The top pet influencer is so cute that he has more than 16 million fans on Facebook. He’s also gotten to meet and greet celebs including Seth Rogen and Anderson Cooper.

Doug the Pug

Doug the Pug was an overnight success. His owner posted a cutesy video of him on Instagram one day, and woke up to it having millions of views the next. Today, Doug is one of the top pet influencers with more than three million followers. He’s known for his silly, pop culture photos.

Marnie the Dog

Marnie the Dog has an inspiring story. She was adopted from a shelter at the age of 11 (she’s now 16). Her head tilts to one side because of vestibular disease, a condition that affects dogs and is somewhat similar to vertigo in humans. Today, she is one of the top pet influencers with more than two million followers. She works with brands such as Netflix and AirBnB.

Maru the Shiba

Maru the Shiba, aka Marutaro, lives in Japan and has developed a reputation for being the happiest dog in the country. When this top pet influencer isn’t charming his followers on Instagram, he’s busy managing a department store.

Chloe the Mini Frenchie

Meet Chloe, the world’s first dog-fashion influencer. As one of the top pet influencers, her Instagram profile is full of cute lewks and #OOTDs. She’s also worked with the likes of Vogue and Barney’s New York.

Pumpkin the Raccoon

Pumpkin the Raccoon lives the type of life most people can only dream about. The top pet influencer has 1.5 million Instagram followers, and lives in the Bahamas with her family (which includes a few humans and dogs). She’s also the star of her own book.

Jiff Pom

Jiff Pom is a top pet influencer with more than eight million followers on Instagram. He set the Guinness World Record for being the animal with the most followers. His Instagram profile is full of selfies of him in cool costumes, as well as photos of him posing with other well-known influencers.


Tuna is another dog with a sweet story who’s gone on to become a top pet influencer. His owner started the Instagram account because she wanted to make other people happy. She and Tuna met at a pet rescue event. In addition to his main Instagram profile, he also a second account, where he shares photos from his travel adventures.

Manny the Frenchie has the honor of being the most-followed bulldog online. Along with starring in his own book, the top pet influencer also has his own line of merchandise.

If Chloe the Mini Frenchie is the most fashionable pet influencer, then Menswear Dog, aka Bodhi, is the most stylish. His Instagram profile is full of shots of him modeling cool and debonair looks.

Toast was a canine supermodel who has sadly passed away. While Toast might be gone, she’s left behind a trio of siblings who are also top pet influencers and continue to share their style with the world.

Lionel the Hog

Lionel, a hedgehog, might be covered with tiny spikes, but that doesn’t mean he’s not adorable (and loved). The pet influencer has worked with brands including West Elm and Daniel Wellington.

Atticus + Acorn The Hedgehogs

Atticus (and his new sibling Acorn) are two more Instagram-famous hogs. Atticus has landed partnerships with camera brands, pet cleaning products, and Burger King.
