The U.S.. Food and Drug Administration approved a third COVID vaccine on Feb 27, 2021. This marks another lap in the race to end the Coronavirus. The FDA approved Johnson & Johnson’s one-shot vaccine for use in individuals 18 years of age and older. Late last year the FDA approved Moderna’s and Pfizer’s vaccines which require two doses. Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine can also be stored at normal refrigeration temps for at least three months. This allows for easier distribution and the potential for at-home vaccinations. The new Tom & Jerry movie came out over the weekend. This time the cat and mouse rivals face off in New York City. Tom & Jerry premiered both on HBO Max and in theaters on Feb 26, 2021. It also features archived voice recordings of Willam Hanna and June Foray from the original Tom & Jerry shorts. Tom & Jerry received mixed reviews on social media. Pixar is also trending on social media. On Feb 25, 2021, it released the teaser trailer for Luca. The coming-of-age story is about a boy named Luca who wants to have the best summer ever. Pixar trends on social media as people react to the beautiful and different animation styles. Hasbro announced it is rebranding its popular toy, Mr. Potato Head. On Feb 26, 2021, Hasbro announced the toy will no longer be referred to as a Mister. Mr. Potato Head is rebranding for gender-neutral inclusivity, launching this fall. The announcement was met with mixed reviews on social media. Initially, people thought Hasbro was discontinuing the iconic Mr. Potato Head toy. Which is a memorialized figure in the Toy Story franchise, voiced by comedian Don Rickles. Hasbro made another statement reiterating Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head characters are not going anywhere.
