Now Pfizer is trending again after the first vaccine was administered in the UK. On Dec 8, 2020, 90-year-old Margaret Keenan became the first person in the world to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid vaccine. This is considered a major step towards ending the COVID-19 pandemic that began almost 10 months ago. A few days after Keenan received her vaccine, the U.S Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization for Pfizer’s vaccine. On Dec 8, 2020, Ken Paxton, Texas Attorney General, filed a lawsuit against four states in the U.S Supreme Court. The suit claims that Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin exploited the COVID-19 pandemic as a means to ignore federal election laws. Many viewed the lawsuit as a last-minute effort to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
