What originally attracted you to the IZEA community and how did you find out about it?
I first found out about IZEA a couple years ago at Blog Fete, a blogging conference in Orlando. I was excited to learn about a company connecting brands and bloggers right here in my town!
Describe your blog in 140 characters or less…
Sarah Hearts finds joy in creating beautiful things and helping others do the same.
What inspires you to blog?
I love helping people create beautiful lives and blogging has been an amazing platform to do just that.
Do you ever get stumped for what to write? How do you overcome this?
Yes! I get inspiration from travel. I find it’s nice to step outside my world for a bit and experience other sights. I love looking for new materials to use in DIY projects when I travel as well.
What is the coolest thing your blog has helped you do?
It helped me start Meet+Make, my in-person creative workshops that bring my blog offline and into real life!
What do you love about IZEA?
I love how IZEA has given me opportunities to partner with great brands while still maintaining my aesthetic and voice.
What has been your favorite IZEA campaign?
The Smirnoff campaign has been a blast! I mean, who doesn’t love creating delicious (and pretty!) cocktails!
How do you stay actively engaged with your audience?
I keep trying new platforms (like Snapchat) and keep asking for input and direction from my audience. I find that people love sharing their opinion!
What tips can you give other bloggers that can help set them apart and stand out?
Be yourself! As cliche as it sounds I’ve found it to be so true. With spending so much time online it’s so easy to compare yourself to others and get discouraged.
