8 Cancer Survivors Raising Awareness on TikTok and Instagram

According to the CDC, more than 1.6 million people are diagnosed with cancer each year, making it the second leading cause of death in the world. That’s why a day like National Cancer Survivors Day on June 5 is such an important day to celebrate cancer survivors and encourage newly diagnosed. More cancer survivors are taking to TikTok and Instagram to share their stories of survival, what their experience was like and how they’re coping with life afterward.

Kris Carr

Kris is a New York Times bestselling author and cancer thriver, as she calls herself. Kris has been living with cancer for almost 20 years. She was diagnosed with a rare, incurable but slow-growing stage IV cancer and has since shared her life living each day out with joy. Kris focuses on living her best life, writing books, sharing wellness tips, and her love for vegan food.

Dani Trops

Dani is a breast cancer survivor and health advocate who shares health tips, particularly focused on mastectomies and breast cancer, with her 173K followers on TikTok. She loves sharing facts with the younger generation since she was so young when she had cancer. The breast facts she shares she calls “Foob Facts” and always has a helpful, yet bright and cheerful mindset with her videos.

Chris is an 18-year holistic cancer thriver, author, and speaker who has gained almost 70K followers on Instagram. Chris’ content is focused on holistic healing when it comes to cancer, what you can be doing to prevent it, and his passion for a plant-based diet in helping not only with cancer but your health in general.

Chloe Leigh

Chloe is a TikTok influencer who shares her story of having cancer, sepsis, and other complications with her 45K followers via videos about the good and the not-so-good. Chloe was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, which is a blood cancer. You can find videos about her life now as a mother, her experience with a feeding tube, and other pieces of her cancer journey.

With 52K followers on TikTok, Caroline shares her life as a young person who has dealt with cancer. Caroline likes to create videos about her cancer as well as funny videos. Caroline has shared videos about going through cancer and where she is now.

Paige is also the founder of the Breasties, an all-inclusive nonprofit that creates a community for survivors and caregivers impacted by breast and gynecological cancer.
