When it comes to booking influencers for your marketing campaigns, there are many factors to consider. Where do you find the right influencers? How do you book them? What should you pay them? This guide will show you how to use IZEA resources and The Creator Marketplace® to book an influencer for your marketing needs.
Find your influencer
The first step is finding the right influencer for your campaign. You can do this by browsing through The Creator Marketplace’s listings or by creating a Casting Call. Creators make listings to sell their creative services like sponsored social media posts, shoutouts, videos, voiceover work, graphic designs and more.
If you create a Casting Call, potential candidates will apply directly with their pitches and rates, and you can select whoever works best for your budget and needs. Casting Calls are available to marketers who subscribed to the Marketer Pro account for $99 a month. This plan also allows you to initiate 1:1 chats and obtain priority support.
Contact creators directly
Once you’ve found the right influencer, contact them directly via the platform’s messaging system if you have a Marketer Pro account. Creators in the marketplace have their terms listed in their listings, such as usage rights and number of revisions, but you can usually negotiate in the messages.
When purchasing a listing, first select a deal. Deals are the various packages the creator offers. The prices for deals vary based on the scope of work, days for delivery, the number of revisions and the type of content licensing. If you would like to request some changes to the deal, message the seller (creator) and begin a conversation.
In the marketplace, you book an influencer by paying for the listing once you have agreed to the order contract. If needed, creators can edit the time left to complete the order, amount of revisions and the price of the listing in the contract. This helps ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding expectations and prevents any possible disputes down the line.
From there you will pay for the order. If there are any buyer requests, you must respond to these before the creator will have the option to accept your order and begin creating your content.
Creator confirms and delivers content order
Once the creator, referred to as a seller in the marketplace, confirms the order, they begin creating the content. If they have questions for you as a buyer, they can ask directly in the order chat.
Once the content has been created, the creator will upload the file(s) for you to view and approve. You and the creator can also decide to deliver the content outside of the system; if that’s the case, the seller will select Delivered outside of the IZEA Platform. From then you have seven days to accept or request any revisions (if agreed upon in the contract for the order).
Booking an influencer in The Creator Marketplace isn’t difficult. From browsing through existing listings or creating Casting Calls to contacting creators directly and confirming the order terms, this guide has everything you need to book an influencer for your next marketing campaign quickly and easily.
