Being a good shooter is about being graceful, effortless and efficient with the way you shoot… You can’t force your way there with thought because “forcing it” is the literal opposite of grace… And yes I know, I am saying in the video that you can’t shoot a pull-up because you can’t lead with the ball… But that’s just a description, the idea/theory alone is not what is best to fix it IMO… So if you can’t “try to become an effortless shooter” with more thought, then how do you do it?… The only way is by SETTLING into it… You need to experiment and pay attention to the ways that you are holding yourself back… All the made up rules about “how you need to shoot” that are now subconscious, need to be found… Because being a graceful shooter is all about reeling in your focus on everything that doesn’t matter so that you can focus on what actually matters, which is making the freaking shot… But again, forcing your way there won’t work… Experimenting and paying attention to how you shoot, what you are thinking and feeling while you shoot, will get you there… This is a completely different framework than what most people preach; and it works… The goal of these 3 steps that I am showing here and shooting training inside Good Drills is to help you eliminate the B.S so you can become the shooter you are meant to become. #gooddrill
