What originally attracted you to the IZEA/SocialSpark community and how did you find out about it?
Another blogger told me about SocialSpark and I’ve been a fan ever since. Originally, I was attracted to the prospect of working with awesome brands that I love (and that is what has happened).

Describe your blog in 140 characters or less…
I feature the best Mod Podge craft tutorials, DIY projects and how-tos on the internet!

What inspires you to blog?
I love to write and share my creations with others. I also love to feature people and tell personal stories that their projects made me think of. It’s not just a blog, it’s a community of people who share a love of crafting in common.

Do you ever get stumped for what to write? How do you overcome this?
I never have a shortage of something to say. I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing! But if you do get writer’s block, take a break and read/observe instead of write. Don’t push yourself – let it happen naturally.

How do you describe your blog to people you meet who haven’t read it before?
My blog is a place where I try to make crafting and home decorating accessible to everyone. If you want to get creative, come visit me and I’ll help you get started. And you WILL have fun! You’ll also learn a lot about me personally, like my love of stripes and pugs.

What do you love about IZEA/SocialSpark?
The brands and products that I have worked with are always of great quality. The process is easy. And everyone at IZEA is wonderful (shout out to David who is one of my favorites)!

Do you have a favorite type of brand or product review to work with?
Since I blog about crafting, anything to do with making something or home decor is a natural fit. But, I’m also a woman and head of my household, so I buy all of the products. So really anything that a woman might purchase or use is a potential great fit for me. I am always excited to try something new.

How do you actively stay engaged with your audience?
I am on every social media platform that I can be on – so I reach out to them that way. Anyone can reach me via email or leave a Facebook comment on my fan page. I answer every single email and question that I get.

What tips can you give other bloggers that can help set them apart and stand out?
Let your own personal quirks come through on your site. Your favorite colors. Words that you love to use. Don’t try to fit into a mold. On occasion talk about yourself and tell personal stories. And be accessible to your readers.

Complete this thought: If I could, I would…
Send a personal thank you note to every single person that has ever read my blog. It means a lot. At least I can say it here – thank you for supporting me and allowing me to do what I love every single day!

Congratulations, Amy! Read her blog, Mod Podge Rocks.
