The IZEA team has learned about an unaffiliated third party using IZEA’s name on WhatsApp and Telegram. These individuals are contacting people about fake job opportunities. Tasks include watching YouTube videos and engaging with TikTok content. Please do not engage with or send money to these accounts imposter IZEA Telegram accounts. We will not use WhatsApp or Telegram to contact job applicants about IZEA careers.
We ask our network of influencers and potential job candidates not to engage with anyone claiming to be IZEA on WhatsApp and Telegram–and to take caution on other social media platforms as well. If you have been contacted and asked to send money to them, our recommendation is to report the individual who is messaging you via Telegram or WhatsApp directly within the app and notify them of the scam.
