Continuing to highlight children’s education and the arts, the #IZEACares committee headed down the road from HQ to the Children’s Home Society of Florida for two days of whimsical, engaging fun.

Children’s Home Society of Florida

Driving the change behind the future of foster care, the Children’s Home Society of Florida leads the nation in developing and implementing solutions that transform the lives and futures of children. The organization’s more than 2,000 employees serve more than 50,000 children and family members each year with the end goal to cross the bridges to success.

They have been instrumental in creating legislation to protect children’s rights, including enacting Child Labor Laws, drafting the Compulsory Education Law, and rallying for the creation of the State Welfare Board.

IZEA’s Impact

The IZEACares initiative created a company-wide giving bin that generated $370 in children’s books, coloring books, and art supplies, plus an additional $100 in monetary donations. IZEA contributed 38 on-site volunteer hours over a span of two days.

Our team had a blast coloring and reading alongside the kids, ending both days on the playground and surrounded by a flurry of bubbles. A sticker or two may have also found their way on everything but the coloring books they were intended for. Our little counterparts convinced us it was a good idea, and adults still like to color too, ya know?

Check out IZEA’s CEO, Ted Murphy, jumping in on the fun.
