How to Use Our Influencer Contract Template in IZEA Flex

Contracts are an essential step in the influencer marketing process. Here’s how to use the influencer contract template within IZEA Flex.

How to use our influencer contract templates

The Contracts module within the Flex platform contains three tabs: Documents, Templates, and Resource Center. In the Resource Center, you can find templates for a standard creator agreement, a standard creator agreement with terms and conditions, and a mutual non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Flex users can download any of these templates to edit and use in their campaigns, although the forms provided are not intended to cover every legal situation. Consult your legal counsel for specific needs.

Create your own contract templates

To create contract templates to reuse, download the template you’d like to use from the Resource Library or upload your own file/template in the Templates tab.

First, upload your file(s), which can be a PDF, text file, presentation deck, image or spreadsheet.

Next, assign roles to your template: Creator, Client, Agent, etc. You can also add yourself as a contract signer. Enter the template details, such as a type and description for internal use — so that you can later find the template you are looking for. Click on the document where you would like text fields. Text fields can be signatures, text, checkboxes, and dates.

Then click Finish Template. Now you can use your template to create and send influencer contracts.

To send contracts to creators from Flex, you can use one of your templates or upload your contract file. If using a new document, you’ll be prompted to add signers to your document by typing in a contact name. You can choose one of your Flex contacts or add a new one. Once you add your file description, you can also add associations. Associations in Flex allow you to tie modules together to gather more insights and keep information streamlined. You can associate a contract with a creator in your Contacts module, payments in the Transactions module, images in ContentMine, links in Tracking Links, and much more. If using a new document, you’ll need to add the text fields for signatures and other information, and then it’s ready to send.

Sending influencer contracts from Flex

In Flex, marketers can send contracts via email to obtain multi-party e-signatures that comply with the strictest electronic signature laws. To send a contract, you might need to set a signing order. Click and drag the signers of the document in the order you’d like them to sign the contract. Then set the Apply Sending Order toggle to Yes. The contract will be sent to all assigned roles, but the person at the top will need to sign the document first.

You can also choose to send a final copy of the signed contract to another email by typing the email or adding a new contact. People who are CC’d recipients will receive a notification that a document has been sent, viewed, and signed.

Think of the Contracts module as your central hub for all contract-related activities. View, edit, sign, and store all your campaign-related contracts and agreements in one place. And to make things even better, you can easily associate your contracts with specific transactions, campaigns, companies, content, and creators throughout the Flex platform — for ultimate convenience and organization.

Changing contract email settings

Flex users can edit the email template when sending out contracts by adding a message in the box provided. You can also add passcode protection to documents by clicking the lock icon. Enter a passcode for each document signer and click Save. You’ll also be able to add attachments or request attachments from the signers.

Lastly, email reminders help Flex users keep track of the process. Click the settings icon and a pop-up appears where you can set the Send Reminders toggle on Yes. You can also change the settings to redirect signers to another page after signing by also moving the toggle to Yes when prompted. You’ll need to paste the URL for the page you want the signers to visit after signing the contract.

Once all settings are adjusted to fit your needs, click Send to finish using our influencer contract template or yours.
