Overview

The SocialSpark Affiliate Network offers performance based marketing programs in which Bloggers receive a specified commission to drive traffic and trigger a unique action. The action may be structured as a lead (via online form) or purchase (via the completion of an online sale). SocialSpark Advertisers provide text links and display ads to Bloggers and assign a bounty for each action they want accomplished. Bloggers are compensated for the actions they directly generate and the advertiser is charged on Cost-Per-Action (CPA) basis.

Advertising Units & Sponsored Posts
SocialSpark Advertisers can supply Bloggers with the majority of IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) standard display ad unit sizes. However, the most powerful ad unit in SocialSpark is the Sponsored Post. Bloggers are encouraged to write about products or services and embed a tracking link within the body of their content. Sponsored content delivers superior click-thrus and conversions over traditional display ads.

Disclosure & Transparency
SocialSpark has set a new bar for disclosure and transparency in the affiliate space. We are the only affiliate network that requires 100% audit-able in-post disclosure as a condition of payment. IZEA is a governing member of The Word of Mouth Marketing Association and each sponsored post must be done in accordance with the SocialSpark REAL Code of Ethics. Each post must contain a machine readable Disclosure Badge™ (pictured below in orange)

Tracking
Bloggers are provided with a unique tracking code for each display ad and text link an advertiser creates. When a visitor clicks on one of these ad units and generates an action on the advertisers site the resulting transaction is tracked using a combination of javascript and cookies. Advertisers are required to include a small piece of code on the landing and conversion pages of their site. Cookies triggered by a click on an ad unit and remain in place for 30 days (“Cookie Duration”).

Advertiser Criteria
The campaigns within our Affiliate network work best for those familiar with performance-based marketing and are comfortable with social media. The most effective advertisers embrace consumer generated content and design opportunities that promote creativity among our bloggers. We do not accept sites that have pop-ups are adult oriented or gaming sites.

Blogger Criteria
Advertisers choose which bloggers can participate in their opportunities by utilizing SocialSpark’s segmentation tools. Advertisers may target by age, gender, traffic, category and other criteria based on the needs of the campaign. Bloggers must install the IZEAToolkit in order to take affiliate opportunities.
