As Associate Vice President of Marketing, Matt Gray leads a team focused on brand positioning, demand generation, community development and creating and placing IZEA’s paid, owned and earned media.
Matt has a strong and varied background in marketing and content production. Matt originally joined IZEA in 2015 by way of the acquisition of Ebyline, a content marketing software and services provider, where he was responsible for the acquisition, onboarding, strategy and success of its clients.
Before IZEA and Ebyline, Matt served as a media producer and advertising executive for E.W. Scripps, as well as a sales assistant focused on theatrical and television licensing at Paramount Pictures and CBS Television. This is Matt’s second stint at IZEA. He brings back his experience in enterprise SaaS, partnership and international marketing by way of overseeing SAP and Canadian marketing initiatives at BlackLine. He is also passionate about launching brands and building organizations, being the first or second employee at multiple startups throughout his career.
Matt holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. He lives in California with his wife and three children. When he’s not leading IZEA’s marketing efforts, he’s cheering on the Trojans, spending time with his family and enjoying concerts at the Hollywood Bowl.
