As many of you know we took Zookoda’s email sending offline in late December. Unfortunately Spammers were taking advantage of the system to the point that it began effecting deliverability of our corporate email. The system is now on a new set of servers on a new set of IPs and we have tightened down the system considerably to prevent exploitation by spammers in the future.
The ability to mass upload email addresses through the application has been removed. If you want to import names you will need to contact customer support, verify contact information and sign an contract that states the names you collected comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. Email can still be collected via the online signup form on your blog as those are already double-optin and comply with Federal law.
New email broadcasts will no longer need to be manually reviewed. We have removed all of the spammers we believe to have been in the system and are working with a clean slate. The new rules should prevent spammers from using Zookoda as a gateway in the future.
You can send out emails, but please realize we are still in the process of removing ISP email blacklists. That takes sometime but within the next month or so we should have a very high level of deliverability for your emails. Thank you for your patience, we are dedicated to supporting this free service for bloggers and will do our best to improve it over time.
