It’s very common for new Advertisers to inquire on recommendations for initial spends on their campaigns.  I don’t like answering questions with more questions.  However, the simple answer is: it depends!

What is your goal?

What do you want to highlight?

Who are you trying to target?

Any special requirements like video/multimedia?

Any product sampling?

These questions help us determine how many people you should target and the amount you should offer per post.

Utilizing PayPerPost is the same as calling on an army.  Do you want to win your Advertising battle?  I hope you don’t plan on sending just one troop!  You need soldiers (casual bloggers), officers (high-traffic and high-Page Rank bloggers) and ammo (ad units and sponsorships).  How else would you conquer the blogOsphere?

There is a direct correlation between larger spends and better results.  Paying 100 bloggers to discuss your product/service is exponentially more powerful than paying just a few.  Larger spends equate to more page views, more clicks and more of that ever-elusive buzz.

Another important phenomenon we experience is the ”Echo’s echo.” Bloggers are writers and they need content.  Where do they look for this content?  Other blogs!  If Billy has a tech blog and a fellow blogger wrote about a revolutionary new phone, guess what Billy’s writing about this afternoon?  If you pay a blogger to post, there’s a good chance someone may blog about his or her content, at no charge to you.  If you pay 100+ bloggers to blog about you, you’ve significant increased the chances of experiencing the ”Echo’s echo”
