The SocialSpark team had a very sneaky release go out this Monday! Here’s what changed.
Woohooo! New Features.
- Banned affiliates now see that they are banned on Opportunity Profiles. Some affiliates who have been banned for Terms of Service violations continue to take Opportunities (and then ask why they haven’t been paid). There is now a bar at the top of CPC and CPA Opportunity profiles that lets users know they’ve been banned, which also helps to explain why the “Take Opportunity” link is not in the tools.
- Country on payout setup now matches what was entered in Blogger Profile. Previously, it was displaying Anguilla. And we don’t have too many bloggers from there. : )
- Each post now has money set aside specifically for it. With the way we were handling post payouts previously, in rare instances some bloggers were getting double-paid. That was extremely unfun for our Customer Love team to fix, so this is an extra measure to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
- Promo codes functionality has changed some. The most notable change is that the system automatically expires them rather than us having to do that manually.
Oh no! Bug Fixes.
- Creating Classic Sponsored Post Opportunities with 0 posts is no longer allowed. Seems silly to pay the Opp creation fee and get no posts, eh?
- Logged-out users can no longer [attempt to] create a cause account. I’m not sure how they got to this page in the first place, but either way they can’t do it anymore. : )
- Error when deleting multiple messages in the Message Center has been fixed.
- Broken links to edit a “quick” Sponsored Post (which appeared only in emails, not in the Message Center) have been fixed.
- Some opportunities were letting too many bloggers in. This happened when advertisers navigated forward and back again over the targeting step, changing some targeting settings, during Opp creation. (I know, weird.) This issue has been resolved.
