About half the PayPerPost staff has been playing flag football on Thursday nights for the past several weeks, but we’ve been too ashamed to blog about it!
We’re bad, guys. Really, really bad. Geeks in cleats does not a football team make.
Luckily we have a sense of humor (and beer), and don’t take ourselves too seriously. Last night was legendary, though. We scored our first touchdown of the season!!! (Woohoo Joe Sales!) I’m pretty sure we were more excited about that touchdown than any other team in the history of flag football. And I would know; I’ve done the research to prove it.
Other highlights from the game: Marty’s touchdown that definitely should have counted but didn’t, Ted’s flying front roll into the ground, Eric’s interception (we aren’t actually sure this happened), me catching a ball at some point and being so stunned I couldn’t move, and half the team running off the field during the final 30-second timeout.
We may have lost by a dozen or so (who’s counting?) points again last night but at least we finally scored!
