Tara was awesome enough to stand in line for me at the ATT store starting at 3pm today. I got there right about 6:15 and waited for an additional hour as the ATT store suffered multiple system failures trying to process all the purchases. I then rushed towards home, unpacking the phone at stoplights along the way.
I finally get home and plug in the phone and realize that I have to update my iTunes. Then I release I have to update OSX to 10.4.10 from 10.4.9, there goes another 20 minutes. I restart, plug the phone back in and start to go through the registration process. I get to the end, the screen says it may take up to 6 minutes to activate. Ten minutes later I get this:
That was an hour ago. I just called ATT and they said the network is overloaded and it may take 3-4 hours to get activated. In the meantime I can’t do jack with the phone itself. It won’t do anything until it is activated… bummer.
