This week the team knocked out another round of bug fixes, freeing us up to work on some exciting new stuff we’ve been looking forward to working on for quite some time now. In the coming weeks we’ll be rolling out a totally new [SOMETHING_AWESOME_HERE] that will be sooooo much better than our existing [SOMETHING_NOT_SO_AWESOME]. Shhh don’t tell anyone! Okay, okay, this week’s release includes…
Features!
- More detailed advertiser requirements view. Until now, Advertisers saw the same requirements list Bloggers saw when they looked at their Opportunity details. But with the new targeting we rolled out a while back, the simple “Blogger is a member of Advertiser’s Blog Roll” just wouldn’t do. Advertisers can now see the IDs of Blog Rolls and Street Teams to which Opps are segmented. And all the account managers go “ahhhhh.”
- Schmancy new inline form helpers. Added labels to the CPC Express signup to make it clear that the information entered will be used in the creation of the CPC Opportunity.
- A new table, where once there was a mess of <divs> that made puppies cry. Redesigned the My Campaigns Sponsored Post “Posts” tab to handle data in a much cleaner format and fixed the sorting issues on CPC and CTR while we were at it.
- For advertisers with commitment issues… Created a “Continue” page for Advertisers that don’t make it all the way through the CPC Express signup.
Bug Fixes!
- Replaced an outdated component on the Advertiser Create Opportunities page with a new one referencing Sponsored Conversations.
- Opportunity “You’re Qualified!” emails were going out for Opportunities with future start dates. Those will now hold off until the Opportunity is live.
- Similar requirements on an Opportunity are now displayed as one. For example, when an Advertiser required that a Blogger belong to one of four blog rolls, the requirements would repeat “Blog must belong to Advertiser’s Blog Roll” four times. Nevermore!
- CPC Express Opportunities will no longer be in the list of Opps available to clone.
- The “Refill Budget” button no longer appears on any yanked CPC Opportunity pages (advertiser view).
- Fixed an issue where older Opportunities that were created before the fancy targeting redesign had requirements that were being displayed incorrectly as “AND” rather than “OR.”
- Fixed a very small formatting issue on the CPC Opp detail page that only Ted noticed. ; )
This release will go out this afternoon at 1:00PM EDT. See you then!
