Our dev team is working very hard on SocialSpark 2.0. This is not an upgrade. It is a completely new system from the ground up. We have taken in all of your feedback over the years, streamlined everything and designed a flexible platform that can change with the social media landscape. It looks and acts nothing like the current SocialSpark, though you will see some resemblance to some of our more recent product releases. I am not going to go into too much detail here but I wanted to share a few highlights:

What is Out

  • Profile pages
  • Messages
  • Social Networking (friending within SocialSpark)
  • RealRank/ITK
  • Sparks
  • Clunky processes

What is In

  • Direct publishing
  • Negotiation
  • Speed
  • Google Analytics

Google Analytics is probably the biggest thing you should be aware of as it will be a requirement for you to get any Opps. You will be able to register without it, but if an advertiser can’t see how much traffic you get the likelihood of them making you an offer is slim. You will be asked to give SocialSpark permission to access your Google Analytics account in order to pull the most accurate site data possible. If you don’t already use Google Analytics now is a great time to get it installed – it is FREE!

As we get closer to launch the team will be providing more detail about these new features. I am excited about SocialSpark 2.0 and I think you will be too!
