Hey everyone. I just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that we are aware of the issues most of you are having with ITK, namely, it’s speed. I’ve taken this week to look into the issues and rewrite certain parts of the software to accommodate it’s growth.
There are three major issues we are addressing:
1) Initial load. When ITK is first loaded up, it needs to do a few things like ensure ITK is on the correct site and send back information about your blog. This has been removed from a bigger application (where it is subject to it’s slowdowns) and is now in a streamlined, lightning fast function specific application.
2) Saving analytical data. We get millions of bits of analytical data a day, which all needs to be saved to a database. We need to figure out how to do this more efficiently. We’ve learned a lot in the last few months in building CloudShout and I’m hoping to use some of that knowledge here.
3) The dreaded “Resend” alert. We have identified the cause of that issue and a fix is being QA’d this week. That update should be available soon.
I know that there may be other issues out there, and we will address them all. Please be sure to leave information about your problems on our boards for ITK so we know what they are.
