If you’ve been part of our Community for any given time you know we like to give back to our global community whenever there’s an opportunity. Last week one of our Team Members sent around an internal e-mail with a great idea: collect items for our local Coalition for the Homeless. Here in the US many parts of the country have had ridiculous Winter conditions this year, and many homeless people are facing terrible, terrible circumstances. So we here at IZEA are collecting blankets from surrounding businesses to donate to the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, through the end of this month.
(One of our Developers, Grady. We always give him a hard time. We had to infuse a little humor…IZEA-style!)
So…we thought, how can we get our Peeps involved? Well, why don’t you join us in our cause? Whether at your office, with your friends or family, or even neighbors, won’t you collect items along with us and donate them to your local homeless shelter or organization? This would be a great way to use the power of social media for good, and we’d all be giving back to our collective communities!
