The IZEA Team is getting wild-and-crazy in the name of charity for the next two weeks. Wanna know more, and how you can get involved? Here’s the skinny:
The Contest
- Contest starts today, February 27th at IZEA Loco and ends at 3:00pm on Thursday, March 12th, 2009
- Those IZEA team members wanting to enter will contribute $10 and choose a charity to represent
- We will take pictures at 3:00pm on March 12th
- The IZEA Team will vote on the top three (3) mustaches and those will be posted here
- Voting will open to the blogging Community on March 13th, via the IZEA blog, to choose the winner from the top 3 chosen by the IZEA employees
- The top winner, based on votes, will have ALL of the proceeds donated to the charity they designated at the beginning of the competition
The Voting
- In order to vote you must “pay” for a vote; the “payment” will go to the winning charity (details on donating will be provided later)
- The lowest amount you can “pay” is $1.00
Other Stuff:
- If a participant (mustache grower) doesn’t want to pay the entry fee of $10 they can find a sponsor to pay the entry fee for them
- The participant does NOT have to be clean shaven to start the contest
- Votes are based on creativity of the mustache – just because someone has the fullest mustache doesn’t necessarily mean they will win
- The winner is eligible for a very SWEET prize in addition to helping the charity of their choice
