I am a registered Pharmacist and Mother of 2 from British Columbia, Canada. With over 14 years of Community Pharmacy experience, the majority of which has been in the area of Community Pharmacy Management, I decided to start something new and launched the Friendly Pharmacy 5 channel in March of 2020. This work has led to countless media engagements, over 180 videos, 39 interviews, a video podcast, a bi-weekly newsletter, and collaborations with scientists and healthcare professionals both nationally and internationally. My passion involves leveraging the power of social media to promote health literacy with a specific focus on preventative medicine, nutrition, and longevity. I am also certified in Palliative Care, Migraine Care, and am currently completing my certification in Pharmacogenomics. Lindsay was awarded the 2021 Ben Gant Innovative practice award from the BC Pharmacy Association for her work on the channel throughout the pandemic. Lindsay was also the recipient of the Raise Your Voice Award in 2022 from Pharmacy Practice and Business Magazine. Lindsay’s vision for the Friendly Pharmacy 5 platform is to reduce the burden of chronic disease by creating a space for a new focus on healthcare - one that aims to guide members of the public on their health journey by making healthcare education and personalized and preventative medicine more accessible. By exposing the many factors that contribute to the health of populations, Lindsay's viewers benefit from increased health literacy, and are empowered to make better choices when it comes to their health.
