Randy and I spent a week in New York, running from place to place. We had shows, client meetings, and even a blog-related social event. Ted made some special appearances, too!

We started the week off at AlwaysOn Media, a three-day event revolving around social media (our specialty!), advertising, and venture capitalists. The highlight of this event came in the “Cracking the Code for Online Branding” breakout session. We finally heard things from the media agency perspective. I walked away learning a lot. I also walked away very hungry. Let me go on the record now and say that Ted Murphy will eat just about anything. The man’s a machine. They served the

funkiest-looking, weirdest-tasting veggie sandwiches ever! And Ted took it down!

Tuesday night, Randy and I attended the Mashable NYC FlashMashMeet. We had the pleasure of meeting Adam Hirsch, the Mashable go-to guy and his great girlfriend Sharon. We met great people from companies such as PM Buzz and the Rubicon Project.

Finally, my meetings. I met with several agencies and a few record companies. There is one theme that Randy and I discovered: you can either join the conversation of your brand, or be left behind.
