Hey everyone. My name is Scott and I work with Travis on RockStartup. I’ve been at Izea since December 2006 and this is my first post on the blog. Why? I’m quite possibly one of the quietest dudes you’ll ever meet. Most of the other Izea employees don’t even really know me because I’m always either at my computer or I have a camera in front of my face.

So now, after a year and two months, I’m introducing myself. Instead of some ridiculously long and boring bio, I’ll just show you what I do when I’m not helping create the show you know and love.

That’s me behind the drums. The band is called Megaphone and I’ve been with them about as long as I’ve been at Izea. This show took place at Hard Rock Live in Orlando last September. Here are a few fun facts about us:

Matt, the singer with the purple guitar, is also an amazing drummer. He’s a percussion player at the new Blue Man Group show at Universal in Orlando.

James, the bass player, also plays in a cover band out at Universal Studios so if you’ve ever been out there, you may have seen him play.

Paul, the lead guitarist, is my oldest brother. He’s also had gigs as the lighting director for bands like Train, Tonic, and The Verve Pipe (you may remember their hit, “The Freshman”). He also played guitar with Seven Mary Three (their big hit was “Cumbersome” back in the 90’s).

Paul and I are also employees at Hard Rock Live which is why our light show is so freakin’ spectacular.

So that’s what I like to do during my free time. We do have an album available on iTunes and through our website (http://www.megaphonemusic.net) and we’re on MySpace like everyone else on the planet (myspace.com/megaphone). Hopefully you enjoyed the video.

Nice to meet you.
