Platform allows brands to tap musicians and music fans to blog, Tweet, Instagram and more on their behalf

August 21, 2014 – LOS ANGELES – IZEA, Inc. (OTCQB: IZEA), the leader in the booming sponsored social industry, today announced a partnership with recording artist—best known for his role on Big Time Rush—actor and entrepreneur Kendall Schmidt to launch SoundAmp (soundamp.com). The platform will revolutionize how musicians and fans interact with brands, opening the doors for large- and small-scale social media collaborations and sponsorships.

“Musicians can no longer rely on album sales alone to support themselves,” said Schmidt. “So, brand sponsorships are becoming increasingly important to the business of making music. SoundAmp will be the definitive portal for the intersection of the music industry and the sponsored social industry.”

SoundAmp leverages IZEA’s Exchange platform to connect brands with passionate musicians, fans and influencers – from indie artists and YouTube stars, to large labels and artists – to create sponsored social content. Brands will be able to streamline and scale the social sponsorship process, giving them the ability to reach an intimate, targeted audience of fans and music enthusiasts with their message through blogs, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

“Musicians have always been one of the biggest influencers of people and our culture, and are coveted by major brands,” said Ted Murphy, Chairman and CEO of IZEA. “SoundAmp opens the door so that musicians and brands can connect to create and distribute compelling and dynamic content together on social media.”

Schmidt is best known as the lead singer of boy band Big Time Rush, where he released three albums that went platinum and gold. Schmidt is also part of a duo called Heffron Drive and announced a solo album, “Happy Mistakes,” in July. Schmidt will be supporting the launch of SoundAmp as part of his Happy Mistakes worldwide tour beginning in September.

Musicians, influencers and fans can register to be content creators at SoundAmp.com.
