Describe yourself in 140 characters or less…

Full-time Blogger, mom, wife, social media freak, social media geek, gadget geek, travel addict, who loves her pitbulls Skittles & Trip.

What originally attracted you to SponsoredTweets, and how did you find out about it?

What’s better than learning you can earn money by tweeting?  I remember when I first found SponsoredTweets I almost fell out of my chair learning that I could make money by sending out tweets.  I honestly don’t remember if I noticed a button on a blogger’s sidebar, found something on Facebook, or while searching the web.

What do you love most about Twitter?

I love the simplicity of Twitter.  Everything is short, simple, and gets straight to the point.  There is not much room for beating around the bush.  I have also met some awesome people I wouldn’t have otherwise met.

Finish this: Without Twitter I would…

OMG, probably spend too much time ranting other places since I wouldn’t have the 140 character limit.

What do you feel encourages engagement with your audience?

I love social media, and I try to be active on all of them during the day, as well as respond to comments on my blog.  I like to try and get to know my followers.  I have made several good friends by interacting with them through comments on my blog, and interacting with them on my social media networks.  Posting pictures, answering questions, fill in the blank, anything that is fun and will get people talking.

Whatʼs your preferred blend of tweets made up of: RTs, links, original content etc?

I don’t know if I really have a preferred blend of tweets.  I try to be myself with on Twitter.  Twitter is a great way to get to build relationship with your followers, and brands.  Posting about business is helpful, but I also get personal.  Talk about a movie I just watched, or for help with dinner ideas.  I recently asked for help naming my new puppy and had a great response.  I have really had to learn how to use Twitter, when I first started blogging I had no idea what a powerful tool it was, or how many people are really active on it.  Twitter is not a place you can just schedule and run if you want your followers to stick around.  It requires your personal touch daily.  I schedule the tweets that I need to for the week, and the rest is me RTing things I feel might be of interest to my followers, or tweeting something to interact with my followers.  Twitter is like all other social media platforms – at the end of the day you want to build relationships and the only way to do that is to be yourself.

Any advice for Tweeters new to SponsoredTweets?

Learn how to use Twitter.  This is something I wish I would have spent more time doing.  I was more focused on other social media platforms.  I wish I would have put as much, if not more focus into learning how to properly use Twitter.

What do you love about IZEA and SponsoredTweets?

I cannot tell you how thankful that I am there is a place like IZEA and SponsoredTweets. But my favorite part is the people that make IZEA and SponsoredTweets what it is!  Seriously, they all need a raise!  I have no idea how much they make, and it doesn’t matter they all need a raise for everything they do!  They work hard to make sure us bloggers have a place that is organized, ethical, and just plain awesome to earn money.  They are easy to communicate with, go out of their way to be sure you have everything you need, and if you read their blog – they are just fun!  IZEA seems like a great place to work, and it shines through enough for me to say it’s my favorite place because of the people that make everything work for us.  Thanks IZEA team you guys rock, and your hard work does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!
