There it is, again…that feeling of dread and woe. You stand there, waiting to get out of the mall, or at least practicing enough patience so your parent will let you hang out at KB Toys (RIP, miss ya), but you have to sit through this, first. Yep, you know what I’m talking about: mall Santa photo opp.
A classic bite of holiday Americana- nearly every kid I know has sat on Santa’s knee and nodded in a blatant lie to the question at hand, “Have you been a good boy/girl this year?” Nearly every kid I know has divulged their deepest desire to that Santa- and why not? He asked, didn’t he? He’s there, isn’t he? He’s just as good as any Santa, I guess. True, if he knows when I’m awake, he knows I’m glued to the TV, dying over that My Little Pony play set, or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Kung Fu action figures.
At any rate, here at IZEA, we’re all about living those childhood moments. We are, after all, kids at heart who love to paint with our fingers, attack each other with NERF automatic weaponry, play board games and I think far too many of us know the lyrics to songs on Yo Gabba Gabba!
