Updating Your IZEA Accounts

It’s important to maintain current information in your IZEA user accounts. Why? Not only for the obvious reasons of needing accurate information for our clients and customers but also because we often [randomly] send out PostiePacks and product sampling to both Bloggers and Advertisers. Remember the Valentine and St. Patrick’s Day PostiePacks we handed out earlier this year? Well, many of the folks we wanted to send them to didn’t have any mailing information tied to their account. Boo! They certainly missed out. No address means we have no way to get you stuff, right?

So right now, immediately after you read this post please visit your SocialSpark and/or PayPerPost accounts and verify a) you have included all of the mailing information and b) that the information is correct. I’m going to walk you through how to do all that–in a few simple steps–so you have no excuses!  (I apologize, in advance, for the length of the post, but you’ll find it to be a great resource to reference.)

SocialSpark

Step #1 – Login:
Click the “login” button at the top of the page and you’ll be taken to a page where you’ll be prompted to enter your e-mail and password.

Step #2 – Account:
TIP: Select “manage blogger account” if you are a blogger, and “manage advertiser account” if you are an advertiser. If you have both you will have to edit them separately.

Step #3 – Edit Your Profile:
Click the “edit profile” link. This will take you to the page housing all your vital profile information.

Step #4 – “Send Me Stuff”:
Click the “send me stuff” tab. This is where you’ll want to include your correct mailing information. (NOTE: P.O. Boxes are not allowed.)

Step #5 – Save the Information:
Simply click “save and continue” and your information will be stored.

Now wasn’t that easy? I told you it would be.

PayPerPost

Step #1 – Getting Started:
In the upper-righthand corner of the screen click the “login” button.

Step #2 – Logging In:
Simply click “save and continue” and your information will be stored.

Step #3 – Login:
Get to your dashboard by clicking on the “blogger dashboard” tab.

Step #4 – “my address” information:
Click on the “my address” tab on the blogger dashboard to ensure your mailing information is correct.

Step #5 – “Enter your address”:
If your information is not correct, go ahead and update it.

Step #6 – Save the information:
Simply click on the “save” button to confirm the information entered.

(“Wow…I got a PostiePack in the mail!”)

Voila! It’s just that simple. And who knows, after you’ve completed these updates you might just find something like this sitting on your doorstep one day:
