Captain Kirk was always my favorite character from the original series, brash, bold and defiant. Why end the contest 2 days after movie is released, most die hard fans will see the movie opening day, free tickets worth more if for opening day.
By far the best Star Trek character is Captain Picard! Need further proof? Google Image Search faceplam… I can’t tell you how accurately he expresses this emotion that I feel everyday of my life.

I remember watching the first Star Trek: The Next Generation and I really liked the character of Wesley Crusher and I also like that Wil Wheaton is a bona fide geek.
