Unless our site blows up in the next half hour today will mark a momentous occasion. Within the next 30 minutes we will cross over the 50,000 blogger mark. I would like to take a brief moment to thank everyone who has helped make this network such an amazing success.
First off VCDan (blog here), Michael Barach, Josh Stein and Ross Goldstein for trusting me with $10 million and recognizing the tremendous potential of this company despite the harsh critics. Next the entire PPP Team for working your ass off, keeping your eye on the goal and inspiring me with your level of awesomeliciousness. Last but certainly not least our Advertisers and Posties for building a great markeplace and community that I am proud to be a part of.
With Argus right around the corner the future looks incredibly bright (it’s killing me not to show you guys this stuff). I appreciate all the hours of contribution, feedback, constructive criticism, laughs and good times. I love this company and the people that make it what it is.
Here’s to the future!

50,000? Whew! Someone go get us more advertisers to go around. LOL!
No, seriously, that's great and I am totally in awe that you guys are managing to keep up with enough advertisers for 50,000 of us to share.
Do you know what percentage of that is active vs the ones that are inactive or that signed up and then never went ahead and began participating? (Has to be a good percent active given how fast the opps vanish.)

Its nice to know about the increasing number of bloggers day by day, but the question is has PPP got enough advertisers for all the bloggers? hmm....The competition for the job has reached to the tip point. I myself have found lots of blogger concerned about not getting jobs at PPP and found lots of my friends going elsewhere and finding another platform where we can get easy jobs... I think PPP should act on quickly to get more advertisers and I hope Argus is going to eliminate all these problems with the bloggers not getting enough jobs.
Best of luck to PPP and Argus!!!

Congrats Ted -- the whole team should take tremendous pride in PPP's first 14 months of growth -- both in posties and advertisers. The closest marketplace business model to PPP's, eBay, achieved only 41,000 registered users in its first 16 months. You've blown that away and Argus is on the launchpad. Great way to start another fun year together!

That does make me a little bit nervous hoping there are enough advertisers to go around.

Well, I saw that today's Wall Street Journal had an article about y'all, as well as a profile of one of your clients. That will probably throw some more traffic your way as well!

Congratulations on your early success.
I'd wished you a happy one-year anniversary before but you probably never noticed? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Perhaps, my mistake was that I never linked the post back to you over here. http://medscil.blogspot.com/2007/07/happy-birthday.html
