We had a great time at BlogWorld New Media & Expo last week. We had the opportunity to catch-up with old friends, meet some new ones, and connect with current and potentially new Advertisers (which means new-and-exciting Opps for our Publishers)! Here’s a little recap:

Dinner with Friends

We kicked off our BlogWorld Expo & New Media trip with a Tweetup dinner with IZEA Friends and Family at Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas. If you’ve been to Las Vegas but have never been to this Bavarian restaurant, you should get on that. It’s quite a dining experience.

Techset Party

After dinner at Hofbräuhaus we headed over to the Techset party at Aria’s Liquid for a little networking. In case you can’t tell, we had a good time.

Trade Show

We had an opportunity to meet several of the folks who won Full Access Passes to BlogWorld when they stopped by our booth.

IZEAFest's Dream World

If you’re one who pays attention to detail you might’ve noticed a gentleman hanging out on the sidelines at IZEAFest last month, drawing sketches of the event. This is a friend of event host Bob Kodzis, and his name is Thomas Thorspecken (aka, “Analog Artist”). He’s an artist who resides here in the Central Florida area, and his work is amazing. Here are a couple of the sketches from our event at SeaWorld:

Agency BootCamp Events a Success

Earlier this week IZEA hosted the last two Agency BootCamp social media luncheons of the year in California. Both had great attendance, which resulted in some awesome audience interaction with the panelists. It’s our hope that by gathering such a knowledgeable group of experts the attendees at all four of our Agency BootCamp events were able to take away some valuable information, that they’ll share with their colleagues and clients.

Get Your Fame On at IZEAFest

Are you ready for your 6 minutes of fame?

Sure, it’s normally 15 minutes, but this is social media and if you haven’t figured it out yet we do things a little differently here. If you’re ready to jump into the spotlight and let the social media world know you’ve finally “arrived” then IZEAFest is your opportunity. So whether you’re already registered for IZEAFest or this is the one thing you were waiting for to take that final step, now’s your chance.

Tell us what you’re up to and why you want six minutes of fame at IZEAFest. Leave a comment in this post or a link to a blog post you’ve written. There are only eight (8) slots available. I will be hand picking the best entries.

Startups welcome. Want to pitch a new website, widget or other social media tool? If it is cool enough we will take a look.
Deadline for entries is Friday, September 4th.

Be sure to include:

Your differentiator. What makes you different from the millions of other bloggers and tweeters out there?
