A lot of people have been asking us about our premium blogger program in SocialSpark and information on what makes a blogger premium. The purpose of our premium program is to identify bloggers with the highest amount of influence and reach within their respective niche and make them easily accessible to our advertisers.
When evaluating prospects for our premium program in SocialSpark we take into account a number of factors. These factors basically fall into three main categories: The makeup of your actual blog, your blog’s statistics, and third party validation.
I have broken down each of the three main categories below. Keep in mind that there is no cookie cutter format we use to identify premium bloggers. It’s almost always a blend based on the factors below.
The Actual Blog
- The design of the blog
- Quality of content
- Number of legitimate comments
The Blogs statistics
- How many unique visitors per month (premium’s usually above 50k)
- How many page views per month (premiums usually above 100k)
Third Party validation
- Real Rank (for those already in our system- below 1000)
- Alexa score (Below 150k)
- Technorati authority (Above 500)
- RSS Subs (Above 1000)
- AllTop
- Media Coverage
- Noteworthy speaking engagements
- Book deals
- Twitter followers (typically 1,000+)
- Celebrity
If you have over 50k unique visitors per month and meet five of the third party validation criteria above feel free to reach out to me and we’ll review you. Please contact Dravid Brim: davidb [at] izea.com.
