We have had a lot of questions about when and where the next IZEAFest will be. After much deliberation we have decided that we won’t be holding IZEAFest this year. Unfortunately our team is slammed on new projects right now and we have made the decision to concentrate our resources on these initiatives. In the coming months you will see incredible new features in Sponsored Tweets, a completely new SocialSpark, a nifty new iPad App and another new platform so cool it makes me giddy.
It saddens me that we don’t have the resources to pull everything off at the same time but I have to be realistic about what we can do and do well. We set a high bar for IZEAFest last year and don’t want to put together something that doesn’t exceed your expectations.
We will be at BlogWorld again this year and hope to see you there with all sorts of new swag : )

[...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Elizabeth F., Todd Miller and Dina Riccobono, IZEA. IZEA said: We have an update about this year's IZEAFest event. Please see our blog for details: http://ow.ly/1sNdM #izeafest [...]
What a bummer! I had such an incredible time at the last Izeafest. As far as your “swag” comment at BWE09, I still rock my “I’m big on Twitter” t-shirt at the gym and I LOVE the giant pen I acquired at SXSW. It was definitely a conversation starter. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for IZEA in general.
Aww, you guys! IzeaFest was the only conference I went to TWO YEARS in a row!
I will miss you guys! I will have to drive over to Orlando and visit next time I’m down in Florida.
I had a bad feeling about this. Things just haven’t been the same lately – less opps, no more forum. I hope it’s the recession and not a lasting trend.
I’m sure going to miss IzeaFest. It’s the one totally fun, but informative conference around. Was hoping to really get into IzeaHunt too.
Ditto, Connie. I’ve been to quite a few blogging conferences in the past two years, and IZEAfest was the most informative.
@ConnieFoggles: More Opps is a big focus our ours. There are more and more advertisers every month, but blogger and tweeter growth is hard to keep up with. We have a lot of mouths to feed. We are trying to balance supply and demand the best we can.
I had a great time and learned a lot at IZEAfest least year and was really looking forward to it this year. I hope that it comes back for next year.
I was looking so forward to attending Izeafest for a second time. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there is an Izeafest 2011!
Oh, Ted – you’re breaking my heart
I totally understand of course, but am so sad to hear this bad news. IZEAFest is the one really exciting conference people look forward to the most, as you’ve outdone yourself every year – and we love you for it.
I’ll be looking forward to seeing you at BlogWorld, if not at ad:tech or ase10.
@Heather in BC: I am bummed too. It was a hard decision to make.
So so sad! Izeafest rocks! Maybe we can all crowdsource a solution:)
I want to cry.
I agree with Steve. Let’s just organize it on behalf of IZEA and call it Isaiah Fest, IDEA fest, or IKEA Fest. We can hold it at either the Holy Land Experience, Disney World, or the middle of the giant IKEA by the Mall of Millenia. And I’m sure we can get Craig to host for a little cheaper than Ted.
Or we could just party at my house and Missy’s for a long weekend…
This really is the worst news of the year, guys. Work Ashley overtime! Nights and weekends! 100 hours a week!
Oh dammitall… IzeaFest rocked so hard last year… I was kind of afraid this might happen just from the silence coming from y’all.
But I also know how much time, effort, & energy your team had to put into it last year.
Looking forward to IzeaFest 2011.
Even if you guys only do it once every 2 years? You still do it twice as well as the next guy!!
@Lucretia: Thanks for the support!
@John count me in! Will work for cake…
“Isaiah Fest” That’s awesome! LOL
My wife has had to beat me back to reality a few times when I over-excitedly started talking about IzeaFest 2010 until her ears bled (not really).
I’m sad to hear there isn’t going to be an IzeaFest this year, but in the last couple of months, I’ve also been wondering if I’d even be able to go with all of the things going on in my own life that are already pulling me away for weeks on end.
So dare I say, I also may be a little happy it’s not happening, just because I’m selfish and don’t want anyone going if I can’t.
I just want to tell you that I am beginner to blogs and certainly savored your web page. Probably I’m want to bookmark your site . You definitely have great stories. Cheers for sharing your website page.
