I have some good news and some bad news. Which do you want first? The good news? Ok!
The good news is our friend Robert Scoble has a new kid on the way.
The bad news is that his little bun is due the week of IZEAFest.
When Robert agreed to keynote our event his wife wasn’t pregnant, but all things change with time.
Needless to say Robert is going to have his hands full and won’t be able to make it out for the keynote. I know Robert feels bad about the timing but I couldn’t be happier for him. How could you not be happy for him? Having a child is an awesome thing.
I thought long and hard about how to fill his place. I was pulling my hair out… until Ashley came to me with his idea. He told me I should do a keynote on personal branding. As strange as it sounds I never really thought about keynoting this event until he brought it to my attention.
At the end of the day I like the idea. I think I can share a lot given what I have done with Ted.me and my personal brand development. Robert and I definitely have different perspectives, but I hope that you are as excited as I am about the change. I promise a fun keynote with a few surprises ; )
We have added some exciting new people to the lineup… but you will just have to wait until the new site launches to see those.

You will be the perfect keynote speaker, and we all need to learn more about branding.
Will you have a contest similar to the ‘extreme blog makeover’ and give some bloggers awesome branding ideas?
Ted,
I agree with Heather. You are amazing at branding, you also have quite the army behind you to get the word out, I’m excited to hear you speak and get everyone pumped up at the start of IZEAFest 2009.
That will make for one of the best keynotes EVAH!
So wish I could be there – you never know… it could happen!
Ted seriously; how could you NOT think about keynoting? You are an engaging person who will give a GREAT speech on branding. I mean, not only did you brand Izea you branded yourself (hopefully not with say, a branding iron or anything – though with you anything is possible).
I look forward to listening to you speak at Izea Fest!
@Heather in Beautiful BC: You constantly crack-me-up, Heather! Can’t wait to hang out with you at IZEAFest!
Looking forward to your keynote, Ted! You are definitely a subject matter expert and I am sure will have a ton of new and great ideas to share with us at IZEAFest! That’s a fun picture too. It kind of looks like you are punching that car in the background!
Personally, I think this is going to be a great session. Ted definitely has a unique perspective on brand-building – brand is an emotional connection to something (product, service, experience), and there are many people that definitely have an emotional connection to the Murphman!
For those looking to take their brand–personal or professional–this is going to be a “can’t miss” keynote.
@Lisa Marie Mary: I’m still counting on it – you know you can make it if you really want!
