I have some exciting and important news to share. We have decided to completely remove the requirement for interim posts in PPP moving forward (in our Monday release). This means more freedom, flexibility and options for you as a blogger to control the content of your blog and how you monetize moving forward. At a time when other companies in our space are forcing you to pick sides and asserting more control over you, PPP is leading the way with more latitude to run your blog as you see fit.
We will not require you to pick sides. We want you to choose a mix of services that works best for you. When you succeed we succeed.
This broader freedom is not without risk. Bloggers could potentially abuse the system and make their blogs undesirable for advertisers. With that in mind we are implementing a new quality measure around bans. If you receive 10 bans from advertisers within a 3 month period your account will be automatically deactivated and you will have to request re-inclusion which may or may not be granted upon review.
I believe this change, along with the ability to take more Opps each day and the new link only option provides the most flexibility of any company in our space. Thank you for all your feedback from Oppapoolza, I am so happy we tried that experiment.

Love the changes. It puts control back into the bloggers hands to weigh the pros and cons of the quantity and quality of posts and determine our own paid blogging future.
This is a great step! Now, we will we start seeing more opps in the system for us bloggers who have never regained favor with Google but have continued to improve on quality and have a decent RR?
Very cool! Quality blogging is the key here. Thanks Ted and IZEA for looking out for us.
that’s great news Ted!
I like this one as a blogger and an advertiser and for many different reasons.
Bloggers have to focus on writing the best article every single time they write an article. Somewhere along the way we got side tracked with the concept of writing one article one way and another article another way.
Plus, this opens up the door for some very very cool things on the blogger business model.
As an advertiser, I like this because it not only aligns accountability with responsibility, but it opens the doors for bloggers to blog more about something when its hot, instead of having to wait a day or three or 10 to work it into a schedule. You wouldn’t see CNN waiting to drop BREAKING NEWS.
So all in all, yeah I like this one quite a bit!
Glad also that its not live till next week, because I have a couple practical question about the bans aspect of this:
- Will the bans work on a rolling calendar 3 month basis or on a fixed quarterly basis (I think it will be very important for people to understand this)
- Will Izea draft a communication to explain this more to advertisers? (I think I have maybe 4-5. I ask this because some advertisers will choose a ban instead of a 90 day bench, because a certain blog is just not the right place for them to advertise. The pink blog color ban is probably the most famous illustration of this. It would seem to me that either educating advertisers that bans should primarily be used to judge article quality could be a good thing, or providing them an alternate option to simply exclude a blog (and not a blogger) from future campaigns from that advertiser.
Now all that said on that last point, I realize that would require programming and things won’t change over night. I have also seen too many blog articles in recent months that were not up to par, and so a bit of a self cleansing through advertiser feedback could be a healthy thing.
Alternatively maybe 5 bans on a single blog, could deactivate that blog and not the blogger.
or
Maybe 10 bans could put a blogger on a 45 day probation where they can’t take ops until their blogs make it through audit, an audit that includes a review of the articles that earned them the ban in the first place plus several others.
Maybe its a combination of these last two items.
I definitely think this is a good move, and it will definitely help sort out the good from the bad in a new light.
This is an excellent move and I thank you for your vision. Can I ask what might prompt an advertiser to place a ban? If a blogger meets all of the requirements as stated in an op, and has a well written post, would there be cause to be concerned?

Thank you Carri for the clarification. I will be posting your reply as well as the link for my readers to visit. Great changes. I’m sure the bloggers are disciplined enough not to abuse the leniency of PPP and adhere to ethical norms.
@Joel, My pleasure! Let us know if you need anything further.
@r.k. As has been communicated to you on several occasions, you are only permitted to have one open blogger account in PPP. You are not permitted to open several accounts and submit different blogs to each which is why the additional accounts have been closed and locked. Once the first blog on your open account has had 10 posts that have all the way through to payout, you will be able to add additional blog to that account.
In addition, we have also communicated to you on several occasions the reasons why we are unable to accept your blogs to the Marketplace and it would not be appropriate to enumerate them again here. Should you wish to discuss this further, you are welcome to open a ticket to Customer Love.
All the Best,
Carri
