I seriously need the Yahmaha neoHD system because my “universal” remote isn’t so universal. I end up needing 3 remotes and, at times, some of them don’t even work! It’s a giant hassle, but this system could fix that.

I need a neoHD because I am a gadget geek and of course with each one there is a remote, so you can imagine what happens when I want to watch a movie, play games, use the TV and or stereo.

I have four remotes and the kids require my interaction to get the TV to work. Since I use the TV as a babysitter, this is inconvenient… only slightly joking.

the neoHD combines basic 2.1 convertable to 5.1 with the ability to learn new devices and how to use them together and as a media server it can be wired to the net for easy updates? thats cool.

I have a Yamaha system and a stack of remotes 6 or 7 plus, this sounds like it would solve a lot of problems and if it is as good as the system I have, would be nice synergy
I have a “universal” remote now($700 more or less) but the dealer had to set it up….awkward! It’s geared to operations (watch TV, watch DVD etc.) not individual components so, even though I have this remote I still have to retain all the other remotes. I feel a simpler,more user friendly component would let me enjoy the level of control I was looking for originally. Now if I could win one the economics would work out just fine.
I don’t really need this new gadget, unless I want to satisfy my wife. I’ve built a wonderful media room with great equipment but when I am out of town working (frequently), my poor wife is afraid to use the room. Please help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too many remotes which are a pain to program. Even the so called harmony universal malfunctions a million times that I am sick and tired of it. A good remote which really controls my home theater would be a lifesaver.
I need the neoHD because my wife is a technophobe who gets frustrated looking at the various remotes I have for our home theater system. In the past she has even resorted to listening to audio through the tinny TV SPEAKERS. NOOOO!!!!! Help me please!
I have the same problem as most of the other entrants. My wife is a technophobe who refuses to learn how to use my Logitech 880 universal remote because of all the buttons. With fewer buttons, I may be able to convince her that all technology is not evil!

My 21 year old, brilliant, daughter decided to buy a bulldog when she was living in a dorm last year. My wife and I got stuck with the dog and she just loves that great flavor blend of plastic, pc board, and batteries found only in your good ol remote control, many of which can’t be replaced cuz some of our stuff is old. We have a universal remote that works a few things, but I’ve been underwhelmed with the astronomical prices of the good ones so we’ll just have to wait till they come down. Or….We have one safe spot for the Yamaha to live, right above the fireplace!

I need the NeoHD remote cos I have like 12 remotes in my coffee table drawer and every time I want to use the various DVD players (Bluray, LD, DVD, DVD-R) I have to keep switching remotes! My parents will also benefit as now they are always confused when they want to play a DVD, and I have to help them even though I did try to make a help sheet for them.
Me needs this because the “Universal” remotes from the cable company can’t seem to turn the TV and cable box on or off at the same time. You have to press TV PWR Cable PWR every time. And if you don’t do it in that order, changing channels blasts you with white noise. Also, about 9/10 of the buttons on that huge remote we don’t use at all. And don’t get started on trying to play a DVD or even VHS tape…

Well! I ‘desperately’ need the Yamaha NeoHD cause my 6yo kid keeps smashing up all the individual remotes that he can get his hands on while I watch TV / listen to music, etc. I can’t keep rotating my eyes to look out for each of the different remotes! Not only do I have seven remote controls, but do you realize how many batteries that is? I think the neoHD is the “green” remote solution in addition to the coolest looking and most functional, real-world remote to hit the market. If I had one I would be helping to save the world, and look good doing it.

My son is always losing his remotes in his room. So far mine only fall on the floor but thankfully the dogs haven’t eaten them. It would make either of our lives less stressful.

I need the NeoHD because my family has a hard time operating my HTPC, Receiver, TV and cable box without messing one of them up using our Harmony.
We need the cool new Yamaha NeoHD because the kids grandparents can never figure out out sea of remotes so the kids cant watch tv or the movies when the grandparent’s babysit.

I often wonder what our house would be like if we only had ONE remote for everything. I swear – I think we have a bazillion remotes. We have one for the TV, DVD player, Cable Box, Stereo… I can keep going. We have a basket on the table, next to the couch, that has all of our remotes in it. Our technology changes so much that we are always on the lookout for something to help simplify our lives.
I would love to have this bad boy because when I am on the couch, cuddling the kids, I don’t like having to get up just to find one of the ‘other’ remotes. Why have a basket of 10 remotes when you can have one for everything?
Yamaha neoHD, where have you been all my life? Just the thought of having a device to simplify all of my electronics will not only save time, but it will help save my sanity. Who likes to run around looking for their remotes for the right device?
This would be the answer to a child like husband and two teen-age boys that lose the remotes every 5 minutes. And we have a lot of remotes! It is a circus in here when we are all throwing cushions moving furniture and everything only to find it an hour later in the bathroom!
