Dan Rua is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Inflexion Fund, “Florida’s Venture Fund.”

Inflexion Fund is his third early-stage venture capital fund, leading the firm’s investments in PayPerPost, WiDeFi and CallMiner.  Prior to Inflexion, Dan was a Partner with the east coast affiliate of Silicon Valley’s Draper Fisher Jurvetson, leading the firm’s investments in AuctionRover (acquired by Overture, YHOO), BrightPod (acquired by InPhonic, INPC) and Mobile365 (acquired by Sybase, SY).  Dan has participated in funding and building over thirty companies and managed funds totaling over $150 million.

Prior to investing, Dan gained startup experience in Research Triangle and seven years of operating experience in IBM’s Networking Research Labs.  Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.  He also earned a juris doctorate with Honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a masters degree in business administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he graduated as Dean’s Scholar.
