Laurie Brosius began blogging in 2004, to help keep family and friends updated on her daily life and wedding plans. In an effort to gain more control over the design and functionality, Laurie moved her blog to its own domain at LaViedeLaurie.com several years later.

In 2008 Laurie wanted to honor her mother-in-law by participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day and the North Texas Race for the Cure that benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She incorporated her journey into a new blog with her friend Nikki (our3day.com) that documented their fundraising and training process, and kept supporters updated and involved from start to finish. Laurie continues to volunteer and support breast cancer research and awareness, and will be participating in the 2009 Race for the Cure.

Laurie has been a member of the IZEA community since August 2006 when she joined PayPerPost. She feels passionate about the benefits of social media marketing, and recently attended SXSW where she was able to network and share ideas with others in the industry. She plans on attending several more conferences and local events this year.

Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and lives near Dallas, Texas with her husband and furry child.
