I am a big fan of change. Every once and awhile you need to switch it up to keep things fresh and progressing forward. This morning Britt and Dan walked into the office radiating an aura of change. Britt dyed her hair brown this weekend, dropping her blonde hair of the last 10 years. Dan went even more radical, opting for a upbeat mohawk. I say good for them… way to switch up it.
How about you? Are you ready for a little change?
Maybe it’s something small like changing your hairstyle or maybe it’s something big like quiting your day job and blogging full time.
Eight years ago my mother bought me a book called Who Moved My Cheese. She bought it for me after I told her I was going to sell out of my other company, start a new company and move to Orlando. The book is a quick, easy read but the message is powerful and still resonates with me today. Several years later at MindComet we decided to make posters to hang around the office that featured our team members. We each picked a word that we felt best represented what we create, I picked change.
Things change. They have always changed and will always change. You can either fight change or embrace change. I choose to be an agent of change, I use change to my advantage.
In one year we have had 4 major releases of PayPerPost.com, now we are starting from square one with Argus. Why so much change? Change is the only way we become better.
This may be a little deep for a post that started off talking about new hair styles, but I have found that the smallest changes can start a chain reaction that can ultimately change your life.
I challenge you to change something today. Go to a new restaurant for lunch. Take a different path home from work. Shave your head, cover yourself in fluff and run down the street (ok, that might be a change in the wrong direction). Do something today you don’t normally do. You will thank yourself.
Have a great Monday.

I love fluff – please dont waste it on your body, eating it by the spoonful is the best!
Brit, Dan – You look great!! Love the new looks!
Ted – thank you so much for this post! This is the second time today I’ve heard such a message, as a MySpace blogger had a very similar message.
I hear you loud and clear, Universe!
As soon as I make one little post (that I’ve been meaning to make for Ted) I’m going to QUIT WORKING FOR THE NIGHT! My kids will be so happy!
And, you know, if a change in hairstyle spiritually/psychologically/emotionally moves you – it’s pretty deep, too! So it all goes hand in hand!
Thank you, Ted!
Love the new hair, guys! A few months ago I went to brown from blonde too, and now I’m ready to go back again. haha
I hate change more than anybody. We get comfortable with the way things are, and sometimes it’s scary to imagine things in a different way. I agree though… it is something that should be embraced, even though I sometimes am the one resisting. I have been surprised many times in the end.
Hmmm…I think I like Brit better as a blonde.
I was disappointed by Dan’s picture. Mostly because I thought it was going to be Dan Rua. That would have been a change (and hilarious).
I think I will take you up on trying a new restaurant but I gotta pass on shaving my head. I have a flat spot in the back and just would NOT look good as a baldy
Could Brit be any more beautiful? She is just stunning.
Great post, Ted! Although, I hate the Who Moved My Cheese book because of a personal experience that really doesn’t have a whole lot to do with the book.
Brittany is pretty as a blond or a brunette.
Some guys may not get away with a hairstyle like that, Dan, but it looks good on you. And wow. You have gorgeous eyes.
Ted. I love this post. I’m glad you wrote it. It’s motivating and inspirational. I’m always up for reading something to keep me going.
The truth is, if people really paid attention, I think they’d see that this blog is pretty inspirational as a whole. Even the silliness.:)
Change is good. It may be uncomfortable to some but that’s only until we’re used to what has changed. Change is how we grow.
I simply want to tell you that I’m all new to weblog and honestly liked you’re blog site. Probably I’m likely to bookmark your blog post . You absolutely have very good well written articles. Many thanks for revealing your webpage.
