Knowledge is power.
Someone famous said that, I think. And it’s certainly true. Though we’ve probably seen many posts similar to this you can never have too much information, I believe. Besides, I feel we often get desensitized to things–and blogging is certainly no different–so refreshers are always good.
So yesterday I sent out a request via Twitter and Facebook to get your blogging tips and best practices. Who better to get this from than directly from the folks who are on the frontline? I thought I’d compile this feedback into one place for all to see; there’s some good stuff here.
In the end keeping these tips & practices top-of-mind can only make you a better blogger, and you’ll likely get better Opportunities in SocialSpark and PayPerPost as well.
Do you have a checklist (actual or mental) that you review prior to publishing a post? If you do I bet some of these are on there….

Awesome tips. I have one to add because it seems every time I forget this rule it bites me.
Read your whole post before publishing. I don't know how many times I've hit "Publish" and then quickly read through it and found some spelling or grammatical errors or forgot to properly size an image.

@Joe Tech: Personally, I think this is the best tip on the list. I often run across blogs that have posts that were obviously not proofread prior to publishing.

@Ashley: A lot of these things are things most people figure out after blogging for a while, so it's a nice list, but a lot of people read lists like this, say "great ideas", and then forget about them. Something else that should be helpful is to keep this list of tips handy and refer back to it when writing a new post so none are forgotten. As I said, I still forget to proof before I hit the Publish button sometimes.

I suppose knowledge is power but I know people who are poor at disseminating their knowledge. That's not very effective either.
